About the Role:

The Finance Analyst will set up the financial control function to drive awareness, accountability and focus across the organisation for cost optimisation initiatives.   

The ideal candidate for this role is a qualified accountant (ACCA), with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills; strong attention to detail; highly analytic; with a successful track record of leading cost reduction exercises across a retail/warehousing environment. You will be a self-starter, who sees opportunities for improvements and loves to initiate and drive projects.

Responsibilities:

Work closely across all functions at Airlift to understand and evaluate avenues for cost optimisations,
Partner up with function leads to drive cost reduction initiatives without hampering service quality or disrupting speed of growth,
Be able to show tangible results each month in terms of cost savings,
Develop / Identify KPIs and provide analysis & insight to the management team for cost savings,
Build trusted relationships with business partners to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions driving business improvements and cost reductions,
Willingness to support an unpopular opinion if it is in favour of driving long-term value creation for the overall business,
Drive to seek continuous improvement across finance processes and controls,
Be actively involved in procurement and vendor selection activities to help identify and select the correct business partners,
Support commercial contract reviews to identify risk & opportunities,
Understands the details of the cost structure to make thoughtful judgement calls.
