As the Section Controller, you will be supporting a specific member of the section management team within manufacturing. You will support and drive the delivery of the plant productivity target and future project pipeline. Under the guidance of the plant controller and the section manager you are the driving force behind loss analysis, challenge & control labour, material loss and section maintenance budgets and flag opportunities & risks to the plant leadership team. You will be using your financial acumen to interpret data and support the manufacturing function to achieve targets.

How you will contribute

You will:
  • Build strong relationships within the site section controlling team to take a joined up, proactive approach to avoid budget overspends
  • To be the financial leader within the section team through insight and challenge
  • Ensure productivity targets are met through accurate forecasting & tracking
  • Drive visibility & control around current and future spend patterns across the section with a focus on the forward-looking implications of overspends and controlling actions to prevent them
  • Challenge the section team to ensure an efficient balance between preferred and required
  • Track the section headcount and challenge temporary labour (both number of temps and the job they do) and overtime
  • Coach section teams in order to own and control their productivity delivery
  • Drive the section loss analysis through utilising IL6S toolkits


What you will bring
  • Educated to Degree Level (or equivalent)
  • Qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CA/FCCA/CGMA(preferred)
  • Strong ability to business partner & influence stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret financials into meaningful business recommendations
  • Experience working within an FMCG environment
  • Solid controlling (supply chain is a plus) and forecasting experience
