Role overview:

Accountable to the regional Lead Enterprise Architect, Market Enablement, the Business Analyst will work with the local market teams and global teams to understand the current market operating model, business requirements and supporting systems. They will document this current state maturity assessment, and work with the local market team to support the design of the evolved operating model and adoption of global tools, processes and standards.

The Business Analyst will be part of a small team responsible for surveying and designing the transformation programme needed for each market, to enable the transformation programmes to be properly scoped, costed, and efficiently delivered.

The Business Analyst will be expected to fully explore the current state operating model in a given market and support the architects and programme manager to "break trail" for the delivery programme to transform the market.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis
  • Employ a range of tools and techniques to gather business and user requirements against the Target State Architecture. Determine the need and value of performing the activity based on the context. Employ a range of tools and techniques to map 'As-Is' and To-Be' business processes/capabilities
  • Identify potential consequences of change and estimate what needs to be modified to accomplish that change and focuses on defining changes within the scope of the overall project design, to the requisite quality with appropriate level of effort
  • Engages with requisite stakeholders to ensure business systems, workflows and processes contribute to target operating model/capability. Ensures that activities within project are mapped to ensure that they are delivered effectively and work in partnership with the Market enablement team s e.g. Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect and Programme Lead, to translate business needs into solutions, work with technical leads to ensure business needs are translated into the technical solutions
  • Evaluates strengths and weaknesses of identified benefits and dis-benefits in line with project mandate
  • Engages with business owners, business change managers, users and other identified key stakeholders, as required, to ensure alignment of project requirements and solution/capability design
  • Work closely with Business Change Managers and improvement teams with identification of BAU enhancements and associated solutions to ensure that defined project outputs are delivered and benefits realised
  • Provide advice and guidance to the project team on application of methodologies; operating model; functional specification; user cases; user stories; defect analysis; forms and templates appropriate for organisational context and project


Person Specification

Experience:
  • B.A./B.S. degree (or comparable knowledge) in computer science (or a related field)
  • c.5-10+ years experience of business analysis and related disciplines
  • Working in a complex matrixed, international and cross-cultural organisation
  • Broad technical expertise combined with strong leadership and communication capabilities to drive innovation and change


Other key Competencies:
  • Experience of estimating change impact and effort
  • Experience of investigating, assembling, validating and documentation of operating models in a structured manner
  • Experience working with major SaaS platforms, integration and data analytics platforms, and understanding the opportunities and constraints imposed by globally delivered solutions
  • Proven analysis competence and knowledge, in a cross-cultural, multinational environment
