Our business continues to grow creating a real career opportunity for a Business Analyst Apprentice based in Birmingham.

Overall Job Purpose

Aligned to the SCC Office 365 practice the Business Analyst role will work across presales opportunities and delivery projects to assist customers with understanding requirements, business process challenges, and how Office 365 technologies and applications can be leveraged to address them.
Main Duties
• Work closely with the SCC new business teams to qualify customer requirements early in the sales cycle
• Engage directly with customers, often on speculative/pre- RFP requirements, to understand their business challenges and translate these into technology requirements
• Understand and capture customer requirements and business processes challenges determining how technology can be utilized to address them
• Identify opportunities for business process improvement and efficiencies
• Develop close working relationships with key customer personnel
• Provide a focal point and interface between the business and technology teams
• Be an advocate and agent of change where required in a customer environment
• Assist in the development of customer proposals, statements of work, supporting cost models and defining proof of concept engagements where appropriate
• Assist sales and bid team colleagues for the completion of bid responses including, Requests for Information, Requests for Proposal, and Pre-qualification Questionnaires

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential

• At least five years' experience of working as a Business Analyst in a professional services technology organization
• Demonstrable experience of identifying and mapping requirements and business processes to technology solutions
• Demonstrable knowledge of a broad range of Office 365 applications including:
o SharePoint Online
o Exchange Online
o Skype for Business Online
o OneDrive for Business
o Power BI
o Power Apps

• Understanding of the benefits of Office 365 and how they can be realized
• Experience of senior stakeholder management and communicating benefits of a proposed solution
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to think strategically and lead strategic discussion
• Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload across a number of projects and engagements
• Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and technology trend Desirable
• Knowledge and experience of cloud technology platforms and concepts including:
o Microsoft Azure
o AWS
o SaaS / IaaS / PaaS
Desirable
• Knowledge and experience of cloud technology platforms and concepts including:
o Microsoft Azure
o AWS
o SaaS / IaaS / PaaS
• Knowledge of programmed and project management methodologies
• Experience of analytical tools and data analytics
• Experience of interrogating databases such as MSSQL
• Experience of software testing concepts and campaigns
