We have an excellent opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our existing tax team based in Paisley, reporting to the Transfer Pricing Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an expanding Global tax team in an organization considered a global leader in its field which offers great career support, development and opportunities.
You'll be part of a new group within the existing tax team, supporting the new inhouse transfer pricing local file documentation team. You'll assist with preparation and maintenance of company's transfer pricing documentation in accordance with local requirements and the company's policies and procedures. Working at this level, you'll be working on more complex entities and participating in leadership interviews.
This is a permanent, full time opportunity based at our Paisley site.
What will you do?
• Assisting on preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation files in accordance with local governmental requirements
• Reviewing and editing Transfer Pricing documentation
• Collecting data, reconcile to other information sources and generate reports
• Analysing quantitative and qualitative data
• Participating in fact-finding interviews with business functional leaders and incorporate information into the transfer pricing analysis
• Supporting staff with requests from external auditors or taxing authorities
• Developing understanding of Thermo Fisher Scientific's transfer pricing policies and businesses
• Working closely with Finance and Tax teams across the global organization and external advisors
• Researching business roles and tax regulations
• Supporting wider tax team on ad-hoc projects
Who we are looking for:
• Analytically driven- ability to interpret trends and data
• Experience of analysing data resources and creating reports
• Ability to conduct tax research, analyse financial data and interpret graphs
• Strong organization to prioritize multiple information requests, details and deadlines relating to financial information
• Strong communication skills as you'll be reviewing and editing Transfer Pricing documentation (training will be provided)
• Transfer Pricing Knowledge would be advantageous
