Job Purpose

Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Provide support to the tax teams in various locations in managing tax uncertainty and disputes across multiple jurisdictions
- Analyse tax implications for new business/products including M&A and engage in effective solutioning/structuring with the relevant stakeholders
- Develop and implement Transfer Pricing policies across the DBS Group with collaboration from business and business finance teams
- Keep abreast of tax developments and proactively engage senior management in managing the implications
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide advisory support for tax and transfer pricing matters across the DBS Group, including tax compliance and dispute resolution matters
- Ensure effective implementation and compliance with transfer pricing requirements by the business and support units in the group
- Manage tax matters across jurisdictions, working closely with country tax teams
- Provide a holistic view of responsible areas, for presentation to senior management
- Provide tax advisory on new products and businesses including M&A activities
- Track new tax developments or complex tax issues, and deliver insights for management
- Manage communications for external stakeholders (e.g. tax authorities and auditors)
- Work on Tax infrastructural projects where required
- Provide strong leadership and coaching to junior tax staff, and build strong team
Requirements
Required Experience
- Minimum 15 years of corporate, transfer pricing or international tax experience, ideally with some years gained within a Big 4 professional firm and/or the financial sector.
- In-house tax experience of at least 5 years in relevant industry (Banking/Finance) preferred
- Experience handling in M&A transactions and multi-jurisdictional issues a strong advantage.
- Experience with tax-related IT projects is an advantage.

- Adept at handling financial numbers and Excel modelling
- Knowledge of Accounting
- Excellent written and spoken communication, including strong power point skills
- Expertise in handling complex tax issues
- Ability to anticipate and analyse business and financial impact arising from changing global tax landscape
- Experience in handling stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
- Strong knowledge of banking business and financial products
- Strong leadership including providing direction and guidance to team members
Education / Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Tax-related equivalent
- Professional Qualification (SCTP, ICPAS and/or ACA / ACCA preferred)
