Who we are looking for

The Asset Servicing Product organization is designs and develops State Street’s strategic roadmaps for our custody, accounting, and ancillary product offerings.

Asset Servicing products account for over half of State Street’s revenue and support some of the world’s largest and most complex institutional investors such as Pensions, Asset and Alternative Managers, Insurance, and Sovereign Wealth Funds. The Asset Servicing Product organization is looking for an Markets and Regulations Specialist to join our APAC team.

The individual will sit at the cross-section of the industry and the bank to monitor country and regional-level market and regulatory developments and communicate how these changes impact State Streets’ Asset Managers, Alternatives, and Asset Owner, Insurance, and Sovereign Wealth Funds segments.

What you will be responsible for

As Industry Intelligence, you will

  • Track and monitor major market regulatory developments across the Asia-Pacific region that impact our core products and client segments—including in-country and cross-regional changes.
  • Interpret developments on State Street’s products and services to share with internal product managers and business heads as well as clients and industry bodies—authoring internal and external collateral to share insights.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Global Product and Global Delivery as well as relationships with consultants, regulators, and other industry thought leaders.
  • Publish collateral and host sessions disseminating updates on regulatory changes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in the Product Strategy team as the Industry Intelligence content expert for APAC, interfacing with product leads, client staff and delivery teams to ensure key topics are covered and communicated.
  • Manage client engagement forums for Industry Intelligence in APAC, promoting State Street artifacts and product content.
  • Align with Product Research analysts on content development strategy and coverage for global regulatory and market changes (e.g. MiFID, LIBOR, Uncleared Margin Rules, etc.)

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years in financial services
  • 5+ years working with industry regulations and their impact on financial firms
  • 8+ years working within the asset servicing sector, with a keen understanding of operational and back-office processes in the APAC region
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and with multiple stakeholders to develop thoughtful and relevant content and industry insights
