Join our Core Business Services (CBS) team and you will help support the important business enablement functions that keep our organization running strong. As a CBS professional, you will work across teams to provide the knowledge, resources and tools that help EY deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace and support EY’s growth and profitability. Major teams within CBS include Finance, Technology, Talent Team, Brand Marketing and Communications, Business Development and Risk Management.

About the opportunity

As a Manager in the Credit Control team, you will help enable our Tax and Finance department’s client account teams and management to run the business effectively and to improve engagement profitability, manage enterprise wide risk and support market development activities.You will lead the team in handling credit assessments, decisions, terms and conditions to maximize the department’s revenue as well as mitigating credit risk. You will be collaborating with other teams, sharing your financial experience and insights to achieve your goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor the collection of payments on a timely and effective manner
  • Follow-up with clients to ensure timely payment and closure of overdue invoices
  • Lead the team in an effort to escalate outstanding invoices to clients
  • Resolve both internal and external queries in facilitating payments
  • Improve and implement collection processes
  • Collaborate closely with Tax department on all billing and receivable related matters

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience in leading a team and people management skill
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Confident in building rapport with internal and external clients
  • Good both in writing and communication skills
  • Possess working knowledge in Credit Control and/or Accounts Receivables
  • Customer-service oriented and solutions focused
  • Able to work in a highly diverse and multicultural environment

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A graduate qualification
  • Preferably with 7 years of experience as Credit Controller
  • Prior working experience in professional services industry will be an added advantage
