The Role

Purpose & Accountabilities:

  • Process invoices in accordance with standard procedures set out in the standard AP Work Instruction as well as in the agreed-upon country specific guidelines;
  • Timely and accurate processing – take ownership and initiative until transaction is successfully and
  • accurately processed
  • Thoroughly check work prior to completion of posting to avoid unnecessary corrections
  • Have enough knowledge on withholding taxes, VAT and other tax related codes and transaction
  • codes necessary to process the invoice correctly or respond to vendor inquiries;
  • Investigate queries raised by stakeholders;
  • Exercise diligence in reviewing and unblocking invoices;
  • Ensure delivery within agreed global and local performance metrics;
  • Input information into systems, maintain and update account records
  • Communicate with internal and external customer in an effective and efficient manner
  • Act as an effective team player
  • Maintain and implement agreed self development plan
  • Ensure that all relevant Shell and SSSC standards and guidelines are met;
  • Carry out other assignments assigned by the supervisors

Dimensions:

  • Processing FI and LIV invoices for BG entities from Europe, Asia, Africa region in the scope,
  • Processing in following systems: BG SAP
  • Over 2000 invoices processed monthly within the Team

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration preferred;
  • Possess basic Financial Accounting knowledge;
  • Good English communication skills;
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • Computer literate - knowledge of SAP application (P42)and other Microsoft software is a plus.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Fast and accurate data input skills
  • Attention to details
  • Customer focus
  • Ability to work autonomously while keeping other team members informed as appropriate
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
  • Ability to recognize issues, attempt resolution and escalate problems if unable to resolve

12-month contract assignment with an option to extend
