As a key member of the Operations Finance team, this role will report into the Finance Manager for engineering and maintenance providing analytical support for engineering costs and maintenance provisioning. This role also sits within the wider Operations Team and is a key business partnering role.


Responsible for delivering the following within Operations Finance Team:


  • Reporting and analysis for all engineering and maintenance costs Ownership of leased aircraft provisions Creating certainty and confidence in the numbers delivered Delivery of key planning cycle items; annual budget, forecasts and 5 year plan Working with key business stakeholders to drive business performance


The role offers a well-rounded finance experience covering: ​​​​​​​

Forecasting/Reporting; you’ll be involved in budget/5YP/PBT processes, liaising with the E&M team to understand risk and opportunities in their areas, and reporting against those variances including feeding into the Operations deck each month.

Business Partnering; working closely with the E&M team and procurement to support on business case / project development, ad-hoc requests and analysis to support decision making in the area.

Financial Control; owning the modelling behind the maintenance reserves provision, and working closely with Financial Control team and then external audit to explain movements in the provision and underlying assumptions.



You’ll provide a true Business Partner framework to Engineering ensuring that the business owners are supported with the right insight and information. Strong business partnering with cross functional stakeholders including wider finance team, Operations & commercial teams to ensure seamless communication and integrity of results and forecasts.

Business Performance and Analytical support:

  • Providing monthly detailed analysis and insight into the costs which can be used to drive business performance and improve the cost base
  • Provides financial evaluation and acts as decision support for ad-hoc projects and cost saving initiatives
  • Works closely with cost centre managers, providing necessary support and understanding of costs to ensure they are managed effectively

  • Working alongside FP&A and Group Financial Control to deliver improvements to the maintenance provisioning models

Financial Accounting & control:

  • Generates full month end analysis detailing variances to plan and tracking the effectiveness of cost saving initiatives Ensuring the financial accuracy of the group and entity balance sheet for all areas of responsibility; including the timely production and review of all balance sheet reconciliations and journals in accordance with easyJet accounting policies Documentation of processes aligned to the new modelling of maintenance provision modelling (LAMP) Ensuring the RACM matrix is updated and all evidence of controls are saved in a central location​​​​​​​

Requirements of the Role


  • Qualified accountant able to embrace large, complex, preferably fast moving, entities. Excellent analytical skills with an ability to demonstrate an excellent grasp of variance analysis and the key drivers. Ability to deliver the level of detail and insight required to support the engineering team Able to communicate and challenge effectively with key stakeholders at all seniority levels in the organisation. An ability to work on own initiative and has the confidence to offer solutions. A true self starter, with high levels of motivation and enthusiasm. Excellent excel skills (up to basic macros) and Planning Analytics experience preferred
