Associate

Role Definition

The Fund works with small (2-3 person) transaction teams and seeks to engage the Associate in all aspects of the investment. As such, the role consists of:

• Developing investment themes within the fund's focus areas leading to sourcing opportunities
• Meeting management teams and conducting due diligence
• Developing operational and investment models
• Preparing internal and external (co-investment) investment documentation
• Supporting portfolio companies and board preparation
• Exit planning and support

Required Skills

• Fluency in verbal and written English as well as one other European language. Preference for Swedish, German or French
• Experience with operational and buy-side model building and with private equity investment structures and valuation modelling; strong excel skills
• Adept at developing dynamic presentations in PowerPoint
• Strong communication skills and ability to gain support for ideas
• Interest in and experience with technology

Previously, the candidate will have had analyst level training with a leading bank/boutique (equivalent to a second-year Analyst or first year Associate), private equity fund, consulting firm or the corporate finance department of a Big 4 accounting firm.
