The Company

A rare and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organizations in the infrastructure industry. They are market leaders in the UK and voted an employer of choice. They have continued to achieve double digit growth for the last 4 years in Australia, which has created the need to hire a Financial Accountant to assist the Financial Controller with the continuous expansion. There is room to grow in this role with the intention of this position becoming a Finance Manager in the next 12-18 months.

The role

As the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for the end to end accounting. You will report directly in to the Financial Controller. You will be responsible for all project based accounting, WIP and labor costing. Further to that your duties will include:

• Managing the month end and year end process
• Management of balance sheet reconciliations and cost allocations
• Ensuring responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations are met
• Maintaining general ledger processes
• Completing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Completing monthly tax compliance

Your profile

You will be CA or CPA qualified (part qualified will be considered), you will have experience in an infrastructure, construction or project based environment. This is a role that requires a highly capable, self-motivated person that can manage their priorities and task scheduling with minimal direction. Strong excel skills are essential to be successful in this role.
