The Company

My client is an ASX Listed Manufacturing company. They are market-leaders in Australia with 80% of the market, due to their investment in R&D and technology, allowing them to stay at the forefront. This company is growing extremely quickly due to their positioning in the market as 1st movers, so there will be plenty of growth and development.

The Role

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, you will act as 2IC to him and Business Partner to the Supply Chain & Operations divisions. This is an autonomous role, where you will constantly look at improving efficiencies and will need meticulous attention to detail and strong systems skills. Your key responsibilities will be:

• Sales forecasting, ordering corresponding inventory and stock to accommodate
• Review costs continuously, keeping up to date on exchange rates and changing market prices
• Analyze all stock variances, deep dive into reasoning and come up with solutions to improve
• Track the movement of stock and complete accurate, monthly stock take
• Act as key adviser to senior managers about supply chain and pricing
• Business partner with the Operations team and create processes for them to follow
• Act as key contact for any commercial or financial matters
• Monthly Management Reports
• Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets
• Constantly look at improving processes
• Any ad hoc projects that may come up

Your Profile

This role would suit someone with Cost Accounting experience in a complicated Manufacturing environment. You would require:

• CA/CPA Qualification (or near completion)
• Experience working with inventory and supply chains
• Excellent system and Excel skills
• 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
• Ability to work with initiative and without specific instruction
• Ambitious and highly motivated
