Our client is looking for a Part-Qualified Accountant to maintain the records of accounts and prepare monthly management and financial accounts, cost centre and adhoc reports for a number of legal entities
Client Details
Our client is a large company operating from multiple sites in the UK and abroad, they are looking for a Part-Qualified Accountant to join their Chippenham Finance team on an interim basis.
Description
The key responsibilities of the Part-Qualified Accountant role include but are not limited to:
Producing monthly financial accounts and submitting to the consolidation system
Completing balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
Producing cost centre reports including budgets and forecasts and reviewing with cost centren managers
Managing intercompany loans and interest charges
Reconciling intercompany transactions across the group at month end
Providing cover and assisting with cash book, banking and accounts receivable for all entities
Supporting the Divisional Financial Controller with any ad-hoc reporting or projects as required.
Continuously improving processes and enhancing the Finance Department's contribution to the company.
Profile
The successful candidate to the Part-Qualified Accountant role will be:
Part qualified, working towards an accountancy qualification e.g CIMA, ACCA etc
Previous experience in the preparation of month end accounts and management reporting is essential
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
A continuous improvement mindset is required to improve processes and drive efficiencies
A can do attitude and a willingness to take on other activities from time to time is necessary
Excellent communication skills
University degree or equivalent
Possess a solid understanding of finance systems and processes - Navision or Sage would be useful
Ability to speak German an advantage (but not necessary)
Have a customer service mindset and be able to navigate non finance staff through the complexities of accounting
Quick to learn and understand other process areas
