A Senior Business Analyst within Olympus Markets Data Strategy Front Office team building the next generation Data Fabric to solve the evolving Business, Analytical and Regulatory needs of Citi's Institutional Clients Group (ICG).

The Olympus Markets Data Strategy team is building a next generation Data Fabric to solve the evolving Business, Analytical and Regulatory needs of Citi's Institutional Clients Group (ICG). The Fabric will bring together disparate data sources for the Global Markets organization and enable industry-leading analytics, client reporting, regulatory, surveillance, supervisory reporting(s) and data science solutions. It will also provide enhanced data quality controls , completeness and accuracy, reconciliations, entitlements, performance, management of data retention and archival per regulatory guidelines.

As part of this program build out the team are developing best in class applications to meet these use cases and managing complex data application migrations to the Olympus Architecture. The role of the Olympus Business Analyst Involves being part of a dynamic team program managing the product rollout, software development and application data migrations. Specifically, we are looking for individual able to manage the effective of the group, through program management activities, controls and Analyse tasks, acting as lead BA for the complex.

Role / Position Overview

Specifically we are looking for a person to take responsibility for Business Analysis cross programs including: Credit Risk, Price Risk, Citi Data Consent Order, CitiHawk (UI) Data Visualization, Entitlements and Market Data.

The role of the Olympus Front Office Business Analyst Involves being part of a dynamic team managing the product rollout, software development and application data migrations. Key Responsibilities:

• Work as lead business analyst/project manager in the Olympus team supporting Front office programs.
• Gather business requirements, perform detailed analysis, and produce associated functional specifications across multiple functions.
• Partner with business, technology and stakeholders to suggest innovative solutions to existing issues and ensure the business needs are met with the most elegant and timely technology solutions
• Ensuring proper development life cycle is followed with artefacts to support Internal Audit and any inquiries
• Manage & Participate in SIT/UAT testing cycles managing technology and business stakeholders
• Provide regular updates to senior management in technology, middle office & front office
• Work with various technology leads to ensure the gaps in the data completeness or accuracy are converted into prioritized Book of Work items

Criteria/Qualifications

• Strong business analysis experience in client(internal) facing analytical roles
• Excellent analytical and process-based skills, i.e. process flow diagrams, business modelling, and functional design.
• Excellent communication skills (there is a requirement to be Business facing)
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with tremendous attention to detail
• Experience working with teams supporting business intelligence platforms such as Tableau, QlikView will be a plus
• Familiarity or the ability to quickly understand and formulate application level requirements pertaining to complex workflows, or integration with external applications
• Problem-solving and facilitation skills
• Proficient at writing and delivering business requirement documents and presentations
• Proven interpersonal skills with ability to partner and influence across organizational lines
• Self-motivation and prioritization of tasks and actions to hit deadlines according to business priorities
• Significant Business Analysis experience across the full project lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing and deployment).

Skills:

• Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint,
• Good SQL with experience working with RDMS such as oracle, sybase, netezza
• Understanding of FIX message specification
• Understanding of Big Data Database such as Hadoop
• Experience with modern software development practices (test-driven development, Agile continuous integration)

Qualifications:

• Graduate or undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent Experience
