Our sector-leading Healthcare client based in Reading is seeking a qualified Finance Manager to lead their talented team.
Description
The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day finance function; providing key management information and reporting on a broad range of financial issues for a number of sites. This is a challenging and varied position and an integral role within the business leadership team.
Key responsibilities and day-to-day tasks will include:
- Management of the Finance team (7-8 employees)
- Producing annual budgets and weekly forecasts
- Preparing monthly management accounts (including P&L and Balance Sheet) and managing the month end process
- Presentation of periodic financial results to senior stakeholders and business leaders
- Preparation of financial summaries and variance analysis
- Delivering insightful analysis and commentaries for strategic plans
- Preparing financial cases for capital expenditure requests
- Conducting cost centre reviews with the budget holders
- Provide ad-hoc commercial support to senior stakeholders
- Reviewing debtor, stock and creditor accounts to maximise cashflow and ensure targets are met
Profile
We are keen to hear from candidates with:
- Full Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong business acumen and the ability to analyse interpret and utilise data to improve organisational performance and identify opportunities
- Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate a diverse group of staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise with and influence those in senior management positions
- Strong IT skills using the MS Office Suite and Web based reporting systems. SAP, Oracle or similar would be advantageous
Job Offer
A highly competitive salary - £50,000-£60,000 plus bonus and annual benefits will be on offer for the successful applicant.
