We currently employ more than 1,400 people in Ireland, who provide assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services to many of the leading organisations in the country - both Irish and foreign-owned. In Ireland, we have offices in Dublin, Cork, Waterford, Galway, Limerick and Belfast.
Background to Assurance
Assurance professionals play a vital role in the economy by providing companies, investors and regulators with confidence about the validity of financial statements, business-critical information or processes. But our skills are not limited to audit or finance. We also help clients make informed decisions about environmental policies, governance and management systems and fraud investigation.
Background to Tax
Companies today face ever-growing, increasingly complex tax and regulatory change. Helping them negotiate these difficult conditions requires intellectual rigour, a sound understanding of tax legislation and the ability to manage client relationships effectively. Expect to use your research and analytical know-how, apply yourself to stay on top of the law and acquire in-depth knowledge of clients' businesses.
Background to Transactions
EY's Transaction Advisory Services team provides integrated, objective advisory services. We work with businesses to evaluate opportunities, make transactions more efficient and achieve strategic goals. Whatever the size, nature or location of a company - and deals - Ernst & Young play a critical role throughout the deal lifecycle.
Work Placement Programme
A work placement is a great opportunity to learn more about professional services - and about yourself. You'll pick up the core technical skills and business knowledge and learn how to put them into practice. And with support from your counselling manager and your team, you'll learn more about your own individual strengths, which you can use to help our clients and to get your career off to a great start.
Working as a work placement student, you'll be performing a role similar to that of a new graduate. From day one, you'll be working on current client projects and will contribute to a variety of assignments across a range of sectors.
Work placements also provide an opportunity to potentially receive a graduate contract from EY and commence your journey to commencing a world-class career with a global organisation.
Locations: Our work placement positions are currently available in our Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford Offices
Entry Requirements:
- Leaving Certificate - Grade A in Lower Level Maths or a Grade C in Higher Level Maths & Grade C in Higher Level English
