Your field of responsibility

An outstanding chance to shape the APAC Division’s financial agenda and cost base strategy. Opportunities to collaborate closely with senior leaders in APAC Finance, APAC COO, Operations and Technology

The role will be responsible for the reporting, analysis, planning and forecasting of the Asia Pacific Division cost base which include:

  • Production of expense reporting in an intuitive and consistent manner for APAC management which include Weekly BCMC reporting
  • Produce financial analysis for senior management meetings which include quarterly cost review with Group, Earnings, quarterly business review, board meetings, etc
  • Seek to provide clarity to APAC business partners on forecast cost drivers including engaging appropriate partners to provide explanation on cost allocations
  • Provide early heads up on deviation from targets; model impact of action plan/ recommendation of cost reduction opportunities and highlight residual risk
  • Manage, drive and coordinate Divisional 5 years Financial plan and perform rigorous cost review
  • Coordinate budget transfer process cross business and corporate functions
  • Assist with historical restatements for business reorganization
  • Support management in various ad-hoc financial analysis

You are expected to possess the below:

  • Outstanding financial planning & analysis skills—budgeting, forecasting, presentations
  • An agile approach and broad-ranging intellectual curiosity
  • Enjoys building new organizational capabilities and executing BAU processes
  • Proficient in financial markets, business finance & reporting systems
  • Comfortable shifting nimbly between working on longer-term objectives and BAU deliverables
  • Quantitative rigor combined with an ability to build a compelling “storyline” for analysis and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Confidence in challenging status quo and can pursue ambitious goals
  • A willingness to think and execute creatively and across a range of fields and can thrive under pressure
  • Strong academic record

Technical/business skills & knowledge

  • Experience addressing and influencing senior management
  • Implicitly credible & a team-player
  • Prior experience as a VP in a multi-national bank or organization
  • An outstanding communicator with the confidence to actively engage and collaborate with senior management.
  • Organized, detail oriented and good time management
  • Strategic-thinking, proactive
  • IT skills: Excel (must have); PowerPoint (strongly desired)
