Your New Company/Role:

My client is one of the largest and established essential services providers in Australia and New Zealand. They are one of the largest infrastructure services providers in Australasia with solid success records! My client is now looking for an experienced Project Finance Analyst to join their growing team, due to their remarkable track record. This is a 6 months temp to permanent full time opportunity. For the absolute right candidate, my client is willing to offer a permanent position right away (match the skills listed below).

About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Commercial & Finance Manager who is nurturing and encourages professional growth to aid in your career progression, your main responsibilities will be to perform and oversee financial activities across allocated contracts, focusing on end-to-end processes:
  • Complete invoice administration activities, considering daily contract priorities, with a particular focus on end to end delivery of Billing and Payment functions
  • Develop and maintain a solid and detailed knowledge of the subcontract(s) including financial and commercial and contractual requirements. Use this knowledge of the Contract to understand Contract Profitability drivers, relevant metrics to measure these drivers and the data inputs behind these metrics
  • Ensure all Project accounting and financial data is maintained, analysed, and reported
  • Undertaking stock takes on a regular basis and inventory management with the Stores Manger
  • Preparation of month end reports as required by the line manager
  • Maintenance of balance sheet reconciliation supports
  • Performance and reporting of in-depth cost analysis of work orders (actuals vs budget) and service budget tracking
  • Assisting contract team with all financial & commercial support
  • Asset management
  • Ownership of all financial processes and transactional data
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Ideal Profile

This opportunity is for someone who has experience within Facilities Management/Engineering industry and project exposure:
  • Tertiary qualification in Business/Accounting/Finance & looking to pursue or pursuing CA/CPA
  • Solid exposure to SAP [mandatory]
  • 2 years and above working experience in similar industry/role
  • Exposure to working in a facilities management/engineering environment is highly desirable
  • Experience within a commercial and operational business environment is highly desirable
  • Ability to work autonomously and handle work with accountability
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to improve processes and streamline solutions
