Senior Advisor, Accounting

This candidate will predominantly support APEX program for software royalty - enabling Dell Technologies' new as-a-service model portfolio globally. The candidate will have the opportunity to support global cross-functional teams in the implementation of all the APEX programs by providing strong partnership, by providing sound accounting advice, and by driving scalable solutions to business opportunities. In addition to APEX program, as Dell Technologies look into growing and modernizing its core businesses, expanding into Telco/Edge/etc., this candidate will also be given the opportunity to support these new businesses. There will also be an opportunity for the candidate to lead/manage a small team and oversee certain regional month end/quarter end close and vendor portfolio. We will also require the candidate to oversee & lead tax on software royalty (e.g. Singapore withholding tax, Brazil withholding tax, India withholding tax, China taxes etc.)
What you’ll achieve
As an Accounting Senior Advisor, you will resolve financial support issues and inquiries from both internal and external customers and work with relevant non-accounting personnel in reviewing contracts to confirm company policies are adhered to and financial reporting requirements of the company are met.
- Support APEX program, new Telco/Edge Computing business etc.
- Assist with contract review/approval
- Team lead - manage a small team, oversee regional accounting close (review/approve journals, prepare CFR analysis etc.) & vendor portfolio
- Tax lead
- Support global processes and controls
- Continuously drive for accounting process improvement/simplification/automation within the team
- Ensure sufficient & proper controls in place surrounding our royalty process/functions as well as our accounting close activities (SOX controls)
- Work closely with & provide support to cross functional business teams
- Develop team members' technical & soft skills.
