About the Role

As AMP progresses with its strategy to demerge and list is private markets business the Group Accounting and Statutory Reporting team will play a key role in the execution of the demerger.

As a Manager you will be proving technical accounting advice and pro-forma financial information specific to the demerger transaction and assist the team in the execution and delivery of their tasks throughout this transaction period.

This role focuses on assisting the team throughout the demerger transaction period and plays an important part in AMP's half yearly and annual ASX reporting for the AMP Limited consolidated group.
  • Performing technical analysis and drafting accounting advice memos on potential transactions/transaction structures and other matters on an ad-hoc basis as they arise
  • Preparing consolidated pro-forma financial information based on theoretical entity structures (balance sheet, income statement and cash flows) to assist the completion of the demerger process
  • Assisting in the preparation of sections of the AMP Limited financial reports, including potential disclosure changes as a result of the demerger
  • Participating in and/or leading the preparation of subsidiary legal entity financial statements;
  • Preparing reports and explanatory material for Audit Committees and executives on technical aspects of financial reports, transactions and other matters as required
  • Assisting in the preparation of high quality commentary, analysis and explanatory notes on AMP Limited's consolidated statutory reporting


What we look for in you
  • Relevant accounting degree - CA/CPA qualified
  • Ideally at least 5 years' experience in a statutory reporting, audit or accounting advice role
  • Extensive understanding of the nature and principles of accounting standards and other statutory reporting requirements
  • Excellent working knowledge of AASB and IFRS accounting standards

Your analytical and problem-solving skills will enable you to utilise your expertise and deliver quality results within allocated timeframes and priorities. You will be an exceptional communicator with the confidence in presenting technical and non-technical information to a variety to stakeholders.
