How will I help?

The Senior Business Analyst role is an integral part of the Project team. As part of the Data Platforms team, you will work in a Hybrid Agile team to assist with data gathering, analysis and technical documentation tasks.

Key responsibilities:

• To elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information and systems
• Defining and driving 'As Is' and 'To Be' processes;
• Defining and managing the requirements through the delivery lifecycle to meet business needs, including writing user stories and test cases
• Providing and directing recommendations for process re-design and improvements and business solutions, enabling changes to processes, policy and/or information that supports Westpac to achieve targeted business outcomes and deliver business value
• Documenting the developer's logic in business terminology in the required template in order to build up a knowledge repository (wiki) for the business to use.
• Managing the development of detailed Business Requirements, Business Process Specifications and/or System Functional / Non Functional Specifications that will drive the desired change to business process, system enhancement / development activities;
• Supporting testing, training and implementation activities, to ensure the successful delivery of the overall business and technology solutions;
• Work with stakeholders and develop and maintain collaborative working relations; eliciting and analysing business requirements and supporting the business test effort.
• Understand and adhere to Enterprise methodologies and processes such as the Project Execution Framework (PEFm) for Agile/Hybrid Projects and Requirements Development Framework (RDF)

What do I need?

• Significant experience in business process improvement/ re-engineering, data analysis, system functional and non-function analysis
• Experience working on SQL, ETL scripts and data modelling
• Experience in implementing ETL framework and data transformations
• Experience in Credit Risk domain or Regulatory projects
• Experience working in Banking and Financial services organizations
• Exposure to SAS is nice to have
