About the role:

An opportunity has arisen to join the Pay Office team in Camberwell as a Payroll Officer. The primary objective of this role is to process the Baptcare payroll in conjunction with the Payroll Manager, maintain a strong customer service ethos and maintain high quality service standards and assist in the implementation of change management strategies to support service reform.

This position is fulltime (76 hours per fortnight) fixed term for 6 months until the end of December.

Duties:

* Reconciliation of Payroll General Ledger Accounts and timely clearance of the reconciliation issues
* To process payroll related activities in conjunction with the Payroll Manager
* Maintain payroll procedures
* Liaising with staff and management on GL related queries

Skills and experience:

* Experience in payroll processing, coupled with a reasonable understanding of payroll legislation is desired, but not essential
* Experience with Aurion payroll system highly desirable
* A demonstrated commitment to customer service
* Intermediate MS Word and Excel
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Adaptable and flexible within a team environment to achieve team goals
* Accuracy and an eye for detail
* Able to analyse and resolve problems in an efficient and effective manner
