We are currently seeking a positive, proactive, team player with a can do attitude. As a Financial Accountant you will be a vital part in strengthening the role of the Accounts Team in our Shared Service Centre in Victoria - Central London.
Salary:
£40,000 - £50,000 - depending on skills and experience.
Your role:
Project Accounting - integrity of costs, revenue ledgers and transaction processing
Preparing and posting accurate Journals, Accruals and Pre-payments in line with accounting policies and accurate cost allocation
Maintain reconciliations for central costs to be split between each project
Maintain intercompany re-charges and reconciliations
Preparing Invoices, ensuring their accurate entry in the system and allocate payment when received
Support month end/year end closing
Preparing and submitting VAT and CIS returns
Management of fixed Asset register
Resolve outstanding queries or disputes efficiently
Maintain accurate bank postings including weekly reconciliations
Work on process improvement and efficiencies to support the business as we scale
Assisting with queries from, and delivery of data to, internal and external auditors
Skills and experience:
Part qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with a minimum of 5 year's experience in a commercial business environment
Bachelors / Graduate degree in Business/Finance
Good understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS
Good knowledge of VAT, CIS and Corporation Tax
Experience in preparing statutory accounts
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint; knowledge in SUN and/or AS4U is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication
Flexible to adapt into an evolving scope of duties
Strong interpersonal skills and a natural capability to develop and maintain cross-functional relationships
German language would be an advantage but not essential for this role
Previously have worked for a Construction company, is desirable but not essential
