Reporting to
Senior Finance Manager / Finance Manager - Central Trading Finance

In a nutshell
  • Responsible for working with the relevant finance manager and senior finance manager to business partner the Operational/Commercial stakeholders for RO & Returns
  • Driving performance within this business area through performance intervensions and decisions support with direction and support from the relevant finance manager and Senior Finance Manager
  • Influencing decisions to drive performance across RO & Returns P&L
  • Deliver timely day-to-day forecasting, analysis and performance commentary

What you need to do
  • Act on financial information to provide insight to help review and maximise actual performance
  • Track and understand the financial impact of action plans and projects to help drive these through to completion
  • Business partner and be the primary point of contact for the RO and Returns teams
  • Deliver timley and accurate day to day reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting activities with guidance, including:
  • Analtical support and reporting commentary to the commercial teams to help make sound business decisions and maximise business performance
  • Reporting, analysis and forecasts of the RO and Clearance P&L
  • P rovision of regular insight into the drivers of performance
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to help assess the success of trading initiatives and activities.
    • Work closely with the other Trading Finance Managers and Analysts to support category specific initiatives/actions to improve the performance of RO & Returns
    • Attend and actively contribute to key meetings as required
    • Responsible for managing relationships with relevant stakeholders

    What you need to know and show
    • Qualified accountant (or studying towards an accounting qualification)
    • Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand key business performance drivers
    • Ability to present compex information in a simple and clear manner
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Strong inter-personal skills and an empathetic nature
    • Strong planning and prioritisation skills
    • Enthusiastic, positive and proactive engagement of key stakeholders
    • Resilience, flexibility and able to cope with time pressure and ambiguity
    • Experience in business facing finance role.
