Main duties of the job

We have an exciting opportunity in the SECAMB Finance Team based in our Crawley Headquarters for a Management Accounts Assistant.

The Management Accounts Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Finance Business Associate in the the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, the analysis of key variances and help to develop realistic forecasts. The successful applicant will also be expected to have strong IT skills and possess the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets.

Applicants should be AAT or part qualified CCAB or equivalent, and will have the ability to create effective working relationships and have the communication skills and other personal qualities necessary to support the Finance Business Associate in engaging effectively with non-financial managers and their teams.

  • Able to clearly communicate finance and non-finance issues

  • Experience of preparing monthly accounts including variance analysis, accruals and prepayments, and forecasting


Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of NHS policies and procedures
