ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a key member of the Finance and Accounting team, the Finance Manager, based out of Singapore, will work closely with the local Audible team and APAC Senior Finance Director to support the growth of the India business. This is a hands-on individual contributor role which requires the right candidate to demonstrate knowledge of local tax and accounting requirements, a strong work ethic, and a knack for getting things done in a fast-moving environment.
AS A FINANCE MANAGER, YOU WILL...
• Complete the month, quarter, and year end close for Audible Singapore/ India;
• Balance sheet reconciliation;
• Journals for revenue, marketing (actual + accruals), payroll and other expenses;
• Ownership of statutory accounting and external filings in Singapore including managing the process and relationship with external auditors and governmental bodies
• Royalty processing (review and payments);
• Dealing with accounts payable, intercompany and foreign currency related transactions.
• On-boarding for new vendors & maintaining accurate / updated vendor information
• Continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting and finance processes
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Accounting with CPA/Chartered Accountant or similar qualification
• Demonstrable experience in Accounting or Controlling
• Sound knowledge of Singapore Accounting Standards and tax laws
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills including fluent written and oral English language skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment, and with diverse groups of stakeholders in multiple time-zones
• Self-starter with strong analytical and problem solving skills with an eye for details.
• Strong track record of handling multiple priorities and meeting timelines.
• Strong Excel skills a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Hands-on OFA and Workday with team experience will be a plus.
• Working knowledge of India GST will be desirable, but not a must
