Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Corporate Accountant, we'll count on you to:
  • Reconciliations:
    • Undertake balance sheet reconciliation for Australia, Singapore and other areas that are aligned to the APAC region. Investigate variances and propose corrective actions required.
    • Liaise with other HDR offices to ensure reconciliation not undertaken in Australia are reviewed and consistent with our understanding of the reconciling items, where adjustments are required, ensure these are being actioned in a timely manner.
  • Prepare Monthly/Annual payroll tax calculation and submittal for states where HDR operate
  • Process journals under the guidance of the Snr Corporate Accountant for Australian and Singaporean entities
  • Payroll - Assist in the preparation (in coordination with payroll (US based internal function for Australia and external provider in Singapore)) of the fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
  • Superannuation - Assist in the compilation and upload after review of Superannuation on a monthly basis
  • Compile and report mandatory quarterly ABS surveys
  • JV
    • JV accounting and preparation of JV board reporting.
    • Liaise with the tax advisor in relation to JV tax returns and assist in other tax return as required.
  • Compilation and submittal of TPAR returns.
  • Audit - participate in audit activity (both internal and external or as initiated by regulatory bodies). Includes all Australian and Singapore entities and JV's
  • Compilation and submittal of workers compensation reports/estimates for all states HDR operate in.
  • Maintain Fringe Benefits information during the year for input into the annual FBT return.
  • Timesheet administration - Ensure timesheets are submitted and approved for Cost Centre according to deadlines (including communicating to all staff local deadlines when they vary from the standard deadlines)
  • Other tasks to assist Senior corporate Accountant.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or related discipline, and either completed or working towards professional qualification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise competing tasks and ensure consistency and timeliness of deliverables
  • Moderate level of Excel skills/experience
