Our Role

We are currently recruiting for a Corporate Accountant as a key representative of the financial reporting function in Australia and New Zealand and South East Asia supporting 20 sites.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, Asia Pacific this role is part of a larger local and global Finance team and the ideal candidate will be part of an exciting phase of the Graymont journey. We are looking for a team player with a change-positive mindset, whilst demonstrating our key behaviours.

Key responsibilities include;
  • Champion of Financial Statement preparation, consolidation and financial reporting for Asia Pacific and support in technical interpretations in line with IFRS.
  • Key team member in the annual audit process.
  • Maintain the integrity over the consolidated and intercompany eliminations of financial results for Asia Pacific
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting schedules to Head Office including Statements of Cashflows.
  • Key month end financial reporting tasks will include interco eliminations, general ledger maintenance in JD Edwards, balance sheet reconciliations and analytical review for APAC.
  • Financial Accounting support to the wider Finance team (FP&A, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Regional Controllers) and other non-Finance departments (Payroll, HR, Legal, Operations)
  • Support Finance and cross-functional projects with a focus on achieving business improvements and standardization such as system upgrades and implementation
  • Key team member in aligning and embedding processes as well as ensuring compliance with Graymont Policies and Procedures
  • Ad hoc reporting and project work

You must have the right to live and work in Australia to be considered for this role.

The successful candidate has an Accounting or Business qualification alongside a completed CA qualification or equivalent with external audit experience. Ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience in a Big 4 firm. Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team and experience working with diverse stakeholders within a multinational environment will be required to be successful in this role.

Proven experience with IFRS disclosure requirements and multi-currency consolidations, demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Prior exposure to JDE or integrated ERP system is desirable.
