The Role

As a Financial Accountant in our Life & Investments business you will be responsible for the preparation of year-end financial statements and statutory returns, and the reconciliation of the general ledger on a monthly and quarterly basis. You will work in a highly competent and close-knit team to deliver all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial deadlines to ensure the integrity of the Life Insurance general ledger.

In this challenging, varied and highly visible role you will work with a variety of key stakeholders including the Taxation and Actuarial teams. You will also liaise with external Auditors and the State Revenue Office.

Your Experience

You will have a strong financial accounting background with tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. You will also be studying towards, or hold a CA, CPA or equivalent. Life Insurance and/or Financial Services experience will be held in high regard. This is a pivotal role in our Finance function and will best suit an individual who can think outside of the box and manage competing deadlines that all have critical business outcomes. Exposure to SAP is an advantage, however not essential.

Please note, this is a 12-month fixed term contract.
