Summary

An opportunity exists for the position of Business Analyst within the Bank Loans team. This team is also responsible for supporting continuous operating model and STP improvements across the lifecycle of bank loans servicing, from trade management through to accounting, pricing and reconciliation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Individual Accountabilities
  • Product expert for Centre of excellence. Comprehensive knowledge of overall process and operating models
  • Direct client facing experience
  • Perform data search and adhoc analysis on bank loan applications
  • Ensure SOPs/regulations are met and escalate as needed
  • Partners with colleagues and Information Technology to promote proper documentation and communication of business requirements to ensure smooth implementation of  workstreams.
  • Will be expected to become subject matter expert for Bank Loans Security Master reconciliation application
  • Identify and implement improvements for applications used by the Bank Loans servicing team
  • Exercise discretion and judgment with respect to matters of significance
  • Collaborate with internal and external groups to identify, analyse and proactively resolve issues
  • Encourage suggestions for, and implementation of, continuous improvements to core products and services
  • Help others adapt to new values, attitudes, norms and behaviours that support new ways of doing work and limiting risk
  • Identify and report all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities
  • Act in accordance with Risk Excellence as part of our Way Ahead foundation

  • Effective communication to resolve complex issues and support implementation of process improvements
  • Ability to liaise with IT to identify and implement improvements for applications used by the Bank Loans servicing team

Education, Experience and Key Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technology, finance, business or equivalent
  • 4 years of related financial services experience
  • Proven track record of technical business analysis and change management
  • Understanding of project implementation experience
  • Knowledge of software coding and enhancements
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze complex data sets
  • Experience in documentation of Operational processes
  • Experience with project management methodology
  • Strong analytical and solid time management skills, able to prioritize
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of State Street applications a plus
  • Team Player with can-do attitude
