An excellent opportunity is available with a leading financial services business based in Warwickshire for a Conduct Risk Specialist who will undertake independent reviews that add value and provide assurance on the management of key regulatory conduct risks and customer outcomes to senior management and the Board. The business will be working to an agile working policy with a split of office and remote working.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, perform and report second line assurance reviews across General Insurance, Financial Services and Investments functions to the standards and timescales agreed.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the assurance plan alongside your colleagues and work with them on other reviews where needed.
  • Identify, report upon and escalate via defined processes, actual and emerging risks, issues, poor customer outcomes and outstanding review actions.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across the Group with key stakeholders to ensure reviews progress smoothly and on time, manage expectations in relation to the conduct regulation assurance process and promote an effective control environment which helps deliver fair customer outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of key areas of FCA regulation relevant to the Group
  • Analyse, identify and prioritise regulatory conduct risks with a focus on current and future regulatory developments, in conjunction with Group Compliance Management, to contribute to the production of the rolling second line conduct assurance plan.
  • Deliver short term/one off projects and activities as part of our overall efforts to support fair customer outcomes and ensure regulatory compliance.

The Conduct Risk Specialist will have experience of working in a Financial Services regulated environment and possess experience of oversight/monitoring/assurance/audit activity in any of the '3 lines of defence'. You will have knowledge of Financial Services (FCA) regulation, effective communication, presentation and report writing skills and excellent stakeholder management skills.
