Assistant Accountant - Planning Analytics (Project Accounting)
Would you like to work within the Finance Planning Analytics team within the Air Sector, as part of the Chief Operating Officer UK Capability Centre? We currently have a vacancy for an Assistant Accountant - Planning Analytics at our site in Warton.
As an Assistant Accountant, you will be part of a team that manages and delivers the costbase/project accounting data and toolset that underpins the financial reporting output within BAE Finance. You will also be central to the successful delivery of the future reporting developments included in the Finance Modernisation programme.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to expand both your finance and IT knowledge while working with finance system team and various stakeholders including Information Management & Technology and project accounting reporting leads.
Your main responsibilities as an Assistant Accountant - Planning Analytics will involve:
- Ensuring that planning analytics automated contract status review is updated in line with AIR finance reporting requirements
- Systems/interfaces include: -
Infor LN
FS SAP
MS SAP
TM1 FIRST (TM1 reporting tool)
- Ensuring that all data loaded is current and accurate
- Providing support to the business by answering queries on data loads
- Managing the access for all automated contract status review users
- Maintaining of internal structures in Planning Analytics
- Logging all systems issues appropriately
- Maintaining manual single contract status review, consolidated contract status review and Sales and Marketing trading plan templates
- Ensuring all work instructions are current and compliant with AIR policy
- Providing support and backup to other members of the team
Your skills and qualifications:
Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or relevant equivalent
Knowledge of TM1/Cognos/INFOR LN/SAP
Experience of working with finance data
Excellent Excel skills
Good problem solving ability and analytical skills
Ability to act responsively to customer demands
Excellent attention to detail skills
The ability to communicate with colleagues in the business
What we're looking for in you:
You will have excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to influence across the organisation including senior management. You will have good organisational and problem solving skills and the ability to understand business processes in relation to systems architecture and designs.
Location: Warton
Salary: £33,569+ depending on experience
