Management Accountant - Operations

We know that our people are our greatest asset, and we are delighted to be growing our team further as we have a vacancy for a Management Accountant to support and strengthen our existing Operations Finance Team, based at our brand new Nickel head office in South Normanton. Just off J28 of the M1.
Reporting to the Senior Operations Accountant, the position is an integral part of a team of finance professionals, responsible for all aspects of financial and management reporting for the Group's Operations, comprising the Planning, Production, Recycling and Logistics functions.

The Finance - Operations team is a cornerstone of the Group's Finance function, and a critical business partner to the Group's Chief Operating Officer and to the Operations leadership team. We work with them to evaluate performance, identify opportunities and issues, and formulate actions to give the Group the best possible chance of achieving its strategic and commercial targets.

DUTIES:

Responsible for shared operational services, including management, finance, planning, health & safety, customer services, technical, quality departments
Month end variance analysis
Forecasting
Month end review and Executive Committee presentation
Develop a strong understanding of all areas within Operations to support overall consolidation of monthly management accounts and analysis of financial performance for Operations
Preparation and posting of all stock adjustments: stock takes, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations
Consolidation of full Group inventory with reconciliation to comparative periods and with the ability to interpret and report for the Executive Committee
Ensure adequate stock control procedures in place across all operations as well as monitor and report on compliance
Working closely with finance business partners to support the identification of risks and opportunities
KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

Strong academic qualifications
CIMA / ACCA level 2/3, or newly qualified accountant
Experience working within a manufacturing environment preferred
SAP system experience, particularly production and financial modules
Full UK driver's license requiredBENEFITS:
