Senior Finance Manager

This well established organisation in Warrington are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join the business in a newly created role.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, your core duties will include;

Prepare and maintain accounting ledgers, journals and associated supporting documents, schedules, and reports, and analyses as appropriate
Support the production of monthly management accounts
Support the maintenance of a complete, accurate and up to date fixed asset register and supports a physical asset verification process at least annually
Balance sheet reconciliations with full supporting documentation and action plans for any reconciling items as appropriate
Support the group audit and compliance programme.
Provide analysis, data and explanations as requested for the statutory and regulatory financial reporting.
Constantly improve efficiency, effectiveness and processes in financial reporting
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards
Recognises and communicate potential issues/risks
Implement and monitor appropriate financial controls and governanceKey requirements;

Qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent) with significant experience in a Finance Manager position
Possess strong analytical/planning skills, together with a strong accounting/ control background.
Strong communication and influencing skills - able to network effectively with finance and operational management across the business in a variety of cultures.
Proven experience of producing high quality written communications and presentations for senior management.
Strong intellect as well as ability to communicate at all levels, drive change, implement systems and work cross functionally.
A strong focus on delivery and the ability to both plan and implement the outcomes.
A strong candidate who is both technically and commercially able to take on the role, but equally important is the ability to fit within a fast moving, demanding, complex and constantly evolving business.
