Pratap Partnership are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established, friendly, family run retail organisation based in Doncaster with the recruitment of an experienced Finance Manager.
The Finance Manager will report into the Managing Director and will supervise and develop one member of staff:
* Monitoring and reconciling the company bank accounts ensuring all transactions are correctly accounted for.
* Ensure all daily takings are accurately recorded to each customer account.
* Approve purchase invoices and input.
* Check and respond to incoming emails.
* Identify and implement cost savings.
* Support to other departments as required.
* Process the payroll for 20 employees including PAYE and Pensions.
* Pay suppliers according to their payment terms.
* Produce management accounts and present to the Board of Directors.
* Produce and submit the VAT Return.
* Produce year end management accounts and liaise with the external accountants to ensure prompt and accurate filing of the company accounts.
* Annual confirmation statement
* Ad hoc returns including for the Office of National Statistics, Financial Conduct Authority and trade bodies.
* Company commercial insurances renewal.
* Review and renew energy contracts.
* Other ad hoc duties as required by the Directors.
We are not limiting this search to any industry but candidates from an SME background are central to this recruitment process:
* Previous experience is essential.
* Experience in Sage Line 50 is essential.
* Working knowledge of Excel is essential.
* The successful candidate will AAT Qualified or Qualified by Experience.
* Candidate must be a self-starter, proactive and able to prioritise their work.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
* Good customer service/facing skills are essential.
