A well know organisation based in Milton Keynes are looking for a Management Accountant.

A well know organisation based in Milton Keynes are looking for a Management Accountant to work closely with the Finance Business Partner to provide value-added management accounting and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Budgeting and forecasting and assist partner departments in preparing their annual budgets to a good standard by the specified deadlines and in the correct format

To utilise any budgeting / forecasting tool to maximise benefit to their partner departments which will include working with and interrogating new budgeting and forecasting software and help the business to use this tool

Month-End Close - being responsible for ensuring that the cost centres for which they are responsible are closed according to the month end timetable

Management Accounts & Reporting - responsible for ensuring that the relevant sections of the management accounts pack are produced to a high standard and in accordance with the month end timetable deadlines. Also responsible for ensuring that 'in month' and 'year to date' variances are clearly explained, including any impact on future months' results

Financial planning & analysis and decision support to aligned departmental internal customers at the direction of their Finance Business Partner

Ownership of own personal and career development through on-the-job coaching and up-skilling

Proactively support FBP and the wider Finance teams to build and maintain a high performance team that delivers added value

Responsible for performing accurate balance sheet reconciliations every month that agree to the trial balance

Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs
Candidate Profile:

Relevant accountancy qualification (ACCA OR CIMA OR ACA) and management accounts experience

Collaborative and customer service focused

Attention to detail and ability to provide accurate figures whilst working to tight deadlines

Self-motivated

Good excel skills with ability to utilise advanced functionality within excel to achieve the result required

Ability to produce information to support figures and to help others understand and interpret the data

Articulate and able to prepare good quality written reports
