Finance Manager required for one of our established clients based in Liverpool.The Finance Manager will report into the CEO and will be responsible for the financial control and performance reporting. The Finance Manager will take on a broad range of tasks within a growing company and will work as part of a small, friendly team.
Duties and responsibilities:
* To prepare and deliver high quality month end reporting with comments
* To devise quarterly forecasting and annual budgets
* To assist in commercial and operational decision making as required
* To do Product Costing's for new products and review existing product costs
* Complete VAT / PAYE returns and liaise with appropriate HMRC authorities as needed
* Oversee and validate stock counts
* Work with external auditors as necessary
* Ensure strict cost management control within the company
* Ensure adherence to the Company and Group policy re purchase of goods and services
* Ensure that financial controls are in place across the business, which are in accordance to Company actively adhered to (this to include accounting cut-off procedures).
* Manage two team members who undertake the day to day Ledger entries, payroll and general office administration
Skills and Experience:
* ACCA,CIMA or equivalent qualified accountant who can analyse and interpret the detail whilst also seeing the big picture
* Must have demonstrable management accounting experience in the manufacturing sector, including the preparation and submission of all statutory financial reporting
* Good understanding of Manufacturing Product Costing Process
* Can demonstrate a strong commercial background with well-developed financial acumen and proven skills in creating and delivering detailed financial forecasting
* Skilled in producing high quality and comprehensive reports
* Have excellent attention to detail
* Have strong IT and communication skills at all levels
* Able to influence and persuade at all levels
* Stakeholder management skill.
