Finance and Operations Assistant
Job Summary: Assisting the Manager, Finance and Operations as necessary to ensure the effective and timely performance of the Finance and Operations function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, general and subsidiary ledgers
* Process financial transactions on a daily basis to ensure that the company's financial records are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner
* Maintain files and all correspondence pertaining to accounts payable
* Prepare bank, broker and customer correspondence
* Update the Company's portfolio management database
* Handle miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Manager
Requirements:
* Completion of CAT, ACCA Level I, or equivalent
* Relevant work experience would be an asset
* Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
* Knowledge of an accounting software package would be an asset
* Must possess strong analytical skills
* Must have the ability to organise and manage multiple priorities in a challenging environment with strict deadlines
* Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality
* Should be Customer focused with good communication and interpersonal skills
