Simpson Judge are working with a dynamic Biotech organisation located in Manchester who require a Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will support the FD & CFO in the financial control of all expenditure and cost control of all major projects. This is a really interesting role and will suit someone who is ACCA/CIMA qualified.
• Financial control of all expenditure, oversight of bookkeeping and accounts payable in Sage and cost control for major external projects
• Production of monthly reports (trial balance and reports on certain details)
• Assisting with production of quarterly financial statements and annual statutory accounts
• Audit preparation and support
• Clarifying tax issues in liaison with external tax advisor; submission of HMRC returns - P11D's, PSA, VAT, annual returns, EMI options, etc
• Development and implementation of internal controls and procedures
• Supporting R&D grant applications and reporting
• Payroll and pension scheme administration in liaison with external tax, payroll and pension service providers.
• Online banking administration.
Requirements:
• ACCA Qualified
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in preparation of monthly accounts and financial reporting - including UK statutory accounts
• Able to work successfully and interact collaboratively within an international team with a high level of professionalism, including ability to work remotely and independently
• Experience of delivering month end processes and reporting using finance systems
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience using Sage Line 50 is desirable
• Can demonstrate experience at a similar level
