Senior Accountant

Hays Accountancy and Finance are recruiting for a Senior Accountant to support a growing business and support them in their US operations.
You will be responsible for, or provide direct support for, general ledger accounting, managing month end close activities and partnering with third party providers.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for finance to drive best practices for a newly spun company.

Your New Role

Your key duties will include but not be limited to:

• Maintain general ledger accounting, including standard and month-end entries
• Work with auditors in support of statutory, group, and tax audits
• Work with and support third parties for tax, payroll, and accounting support
• Work with and support third-party teams managing the subledger functions (AR, AP)
• Work closely with all members of the finance department including the International Accounting Senior Manager, Controller, Head of FP&A and the CFO
• Analyse transaction information to identify refunds, delinquent accounts, and insufficient payments
• Prepare financial statement and subledger reporting, analysing the data and recognising trends
• Maintain performance reporting (KPI's) and ensure targets are successfully delivered

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Qualified accountant in ACA, ACCA or CIMA;
• Minimum of 2 years PQE overall experience in payroll, accounting, or finance
• Proficiency with MS Excel and comfort with the remaining MS Office Suite
• Must be able to effectively communicate and build professional relationships
