GiBe Finance are delighted to be recruiting a [Junior] Finance Business Partner for a national brand in Guildford. Working within a flexible environment, the business offer a full study package, parking on-site and 30 days holiday!

The role is a blend of:
  • Business Partnering
  • Financial Analysis
  • Management Accounting

And would likely suit an active studier, looking for a breadth of internal reporting and commercial accounting experience to support their studies.

The Role
  • To act as the finance business partner for a number of business units and Central Departments
  • To provide a high quality management reporting, forecasting and business partnering service to internal customers
  • To produce accurate management information on a timely basis for business decision making purposes
  • To deliver the monthly management accounts to the highest standard and to deadline, including detailed insight and performance commentary
  • To ensure that the annual budget, the periodic forecasts and the 5-year plan are based on robust assumptions that reflect the current performance, the initiatives, and the overall strategy of the business, as well as the general economic and market environment
  • To ensure that the key financial, operational and commercial issues are clearly communicated to the FP&A Manager and other team members as necessary
  • To provide accurate and timely monthly management information and analysis to the business units and Central Services departments so that they can understand their key variances as well as the risks and opportunities to their budget
  • To prepare customised reports as required in order to facilitate decision making, income generation and cost control
  • To have regular contact with the business units and the Central Services departments to ensure that they have a full understanding of their financial performance, to assist them with delivering their budget and to provide any additional financial support required
  • To continually review reports and processes and implement improvements where required
  • To assist budget holders with their understanding of the budgeting processes and with understanding how to use and access reports which are prepared for them on the finance system
  • To produce costing reports, forward projections and analysis as required to assist with business planning
  • To promote and sustain a constructive, supportive and professional working relationship with all customers and colleagues
  • To perform other tasks as required by the FP&A Manager, Head of FP&A, Director of Finance and the CFO

Your Profile
  • Likely to be a part-qualified accountant / MAAT qualified (not essential)
  • Experience in an internal reporting environment - financial analysis / management accounting
  • Strong communicator - written and verbally
  • Proficient Excel user - pivot tables/vlookups
