Farm Support Advisor

Ifac is building for the future. We are now recruiting aFarm Support Advisor to join our Farm Support team headed by Philip OConnor.

Our Farm Support Advisor will work with our Practice Partners, office teams, book-keepers and clients to deliver high quality budgeting, financial review and projection services to commercial farmers. Your focus will be on supporting commercial farmers with high quality on-farm financial performance information, and guiding their use of our financial management software platform. Our goal is to help farmers to grow their profits through sound advice and high quality financial information.

The Role

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support farmers, Practice Partners, Senior Accountants, and all users in optimizing their use of our financial management software platform.
• Help build and review farm budgets and financial projections.
• Compare actual farm financial performance against prepared budgets on a regular basis, and communicate the findings.
• Meet best practice service delivery standards.
• Participate in business development and client acquisition activities.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have;

• A 3rd level qualification in an agriculture, accounting, or a business related discipline.
• A detailed understanding of farming with a particular focus on the dairy sector.
• An understanding of farm finances and the trends in farm performance improvement.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• An interest in technology and the tools driving change in the farm yard.
• A desire to help farmers make great decisions, and more profit.
