About the role
This role provides a unique and exciting opportunity to work within our Group Tax function, based at GHQ Tralee, Co. Kerry where the group tax team are based.
The role will largely relate to the management of Kerry Group entities located in Ireland and the Middle East and Africa (“MEA”).
Key responsibilities- Management of large and varied range of tax projects
- Provision of tax advice in relation to M&A Activity, liaising with legal, Treasury, Management and Commercial departments. Advising on related post-acquisition restructuring as required
- Business partnering with divisional and group management, including being the point of contact for tax purposes for all relevant stakeholders (e.g. Regional Financial Controllers/Country Compliance Managers, regional commercial teams) for both Ireland and MEA
- Responsible for being the point of contact with Irish Revenue in relation to the Irish activities
- Management of tax audit controversy and engaging with local tax authorities & tax advisors across various jurisdictions
- Identifying and assessing the impact of new tax legislation in various jurisdictions and application to Kerry
- Supporting the business on commercial transactions
- Playing an active role in international tax strategy, planning, transfer pricing, R&D credits and group financing projects
- Responsible for the corporate and deferred tax reporting for all of Ireland and MEA, including tax disclosures in financial statements
- Responsible for the review and submission of the Irish tax computations and tax returns
- Responsible for the review of the MEA tax computations and tax returns
- Other ad-hoc projects as required
- 3 - 5 + years post tax qualification experience
- Strong corporate tax experience, with a preference for Big 4 experience
- Accounting Qualifications are not a necessity but would be preferable
- Experience with International Tax and Deferred Tax
- Analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail and strong multi-tasking and project management skills
- Thrives in a challenging environment, and abl to work independently as well as in a team
- Good communication skills, an ability to converse with all levels and nationalities
