The PVH finance team is instrumental to the success of the UKIR business. Acting as true business partners the team are responsible for providing accurate, timely and reliable information which supports and shapes our strategic direction.

The Financial Accountant reports into the Financial Controller and is responsible for the accounting entries and balance sheet reconciliations of the PVH entities.

Responsibilities include:
  • Performance of accounting entries and reconciliations for complex/critical areas of the companies' e.g.
    • Prepayments/rental costs - preparing schedules to calculate monthly charges and posting resulting journals and reconciling closing balances to the general ledger.
    • Payroll - taking the raw data from the external payroll providers and preparing the journals for posting to the correct cost centres and expense lines. Also providing insight to the business on monthly payroll spends.
    • Accruals - assessment of the need for accruals for missing costs each month. Posting of resulting monthly accrual journals and reconciliation to the general ledger.
    • Processing Base rent and Landlord Contributions from 3rd party software to accounting system. Maintaining up to date records of all the leases within the PVH UK/IRE and making sure that all are up to date and reconciled to TB.
    • Raising Intercompany invoice and advising AP team where to process received Intercompany invoices from other entities within the group. Reconciling different intercompany accounts with other group entities and making sure there are no differences.
    • Marketing spend reconciliations and reporting to European Marketing Controller.
  • Review of the work done by Shared Service Center in the following areas:
    • Cash and bank
    • Accounts Payable
    • Standard recurring monthly journals
    • Other SG&As
  • Review of the P&L of the companies, focusing on OPEX lines and identifying areas for cost savings.
  • Preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations on monthly basis and presenting it to Financial Controller and Finance Director.
  • Preparation of VAT, Corporation Tax returns, completing National Statistics surveys.
  • Working closely with Financial Controller during reporting periods (month ends, quarterly ends / year ends). Helping to submit Month End Packs, Tax Packs, assisting with Transfer Pricing calculations.
  • Preparing the year end audit packs and liaising with External Auditors.


About YOU
  • You'll be ACA ACCA, CIMA part - qualified (or equivalent).
  • You'll be experienced in creating reports, performing financial analysis, financial KPIs and profit and loss statements.
  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of accounting and real estate systems (SAP, BPC, CoStar) is essential.
  • You'll have excellent organisational and time-management skills demonstrating the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.
  • You'll have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with ease.
  • You'll be a commercially astute and confident decision maker, communicating with impact across all levels.
  • You'll be a strong team leader with an ability to manage, motivate and work effectively within a small team.
  • You will work well with change, being able to quickly adapt and work with pace.
