Senior Business Analyst/ Project Manager - FX Tech India MSST Incountry

Description:

Primary contact point for Markets business & Ops units for all requirements in the FICC space. This is a techno functional role with major responsibilities of the incumbent being business analysis, requirement elicitation, system testing, impact analysis of local/regional changes and project related documentations in the Fixed Income, Currency, Commodities (FICC). Significant amount of liaising with regional/ global teams for India related implementations is also required. Focus areas include Business Analysis activities across all SDLC stages, UAT testing, Requirement documentation, Stakeholder & Vendor management, Extensive coordination regional/ global teams for new rollouts & enhancements on existing systems and Liaison with regulatory bodies as applicable.

Responsibilities:
  • Manages a large multi-faceted project/account/campaign or multiple projects at the same time.
  • Owns project goals leveraging expertise to inspire a sense of shared purpose within the project team.
  • Organizes new challenges and drive business results.
  • Uses best practice PMO methodology to create a project plan to fit the stakeholders/customers' needs and deliver within budget on desired outcomes.
  • Appropriate placement of solutions in relevant local/ regional/ global applications as per strategy
  • Participate in projectdiscussions with relevant stake holders throughout the lifecycle of an IT project
  • EnsureCITI compliant software project documentation standards arefollowed for each project undertaken
  • Ensure application administrative documents as well as Project related documents are up to date in the project tracking systems
  • Preparation of requirement documents / functional specifications & ensuring timely delivery of business requirements as per outlined IT solution
  • Responsible for defining the testing scope, creating test cases and execution of test cases along with User training local & regional / global systems
  • Would be the SPOC for users for all queries related to the requested requirements
  • Extensive vendor interaction for getting all requirements developed as envisaged and quality assurance certifications for the same
  • Ensuring all requirements undertaken comply with IT Governance, Banking Security standards and audit framework
  • Liaise with in-country, regional and global partners and work collaboratively to deliver medium to large sized projects
  • Work as individual contributor and Team player based on project requirements
  • Assist the application teams in implementation of Citi Engineering Excellence standards across managed segment
  • Broadcast Project status weekly to key stakeholders. Highlight / Escalate Risks, Issues, Concerns timely
  • Work with Production support teams to understand, analyze & resolve issues as & when required
  • Achieve efficiency by analyzing recurring issues to develop systemic solutions for the same.
  • Work closely with the FXLM Tech teams on implementation/ adoption of key Tech initiatives
  • Possess the knowledge, skills and experience to be able to recognize when problems surface or potential problems are looming.
  • Articulates problems, bring the right people together to solve problems and know when the problem has been properly addressed and closed.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance / Banking +/ IT. Master's degree in finance a plus.
  • At least 12+ years of experience working as a business analyst/project manager in technology solutions group in BFSI domain
  • Should be self starter , motivated individual with ability to perform under pressure situations
  • Good understanding of asset classes in markets and their lifecycle process - FI/MM, Derivatives, FX, Rates
  • Good understanding and experience of senior stakeholder management & reporting .
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Good communication skills - both oral & written
  • Ability to create and review quality documentation
  • Experience in handling mission critical requirements at short notice particularly in the BFSI / regulatory space
  • Experience in managing end to end project life cycle usingindustry standard methodologies
  • Experience in front ending audits - both internal & external and even regulator interaction/communication
  • Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years of project management experience - preferably from a mortgage or financial services environment
  • PMP certification strongly preferred, Six Sigma a plus.
  • Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.
  • Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics.
  • Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.
  • Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.
  • Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them; clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, MS Project, VISIO, Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Stays abreast of current industry trends and new technology through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars.
