Supporting the Regional Financial Controller, this is a newly created role that will initiate and drive financial systems improvements for the Group in order to better support reporting requirements and the scale and complexity of the underlying business. This role will cover both systems exploration, development, and implementation projects as well as support the day-to-day users of the finance ERPs systems across the group.

Driven by a mindset of continuous improvement, the incumbent will also be tasked to deep-dive into our current finance ERP system, understanding our business needs, and make long-term ERP recommendations (e.g., on whether a new system is needed). The incumbent will also work collaboratively with the Regional Finance and Country Finance teams, contributing to the financial systems roadmap and strategy. This will cover but not limited to, analytics and automation topics within the group.

Responsibilities
    • Own and steer the overall Finance systems, reporting & analytics evolution including future roadmaps and strategy
    • Create and communicate the long-term direction of the Systems Team, ensuring it is resourced appropriately to support this direction
    • Provide project management and change management methodology expertise to deliver continuous improvement initiatives
    • Participate in the entire project lifecycle from requirements specification to implementation, ensuring that the solution fits its intended purpose from a functional, technical, and quality perspective
    • Support the translation of business needs into analytics and reporting requirements through designing financial reports to facilitate data understanding
    • Support and maintain the day-to-day operation of the ERP system infrastructure and other business application systems and ensure optimization
    • Support the team members in delivering optimal outcomes by providing them with ongoing coaching and mentoring
    • Conduct business application training and write NetSuite system architecture, training materials
    • Acting as liaison when enhancements are requested to address identified gaps/needs; lead discussions to consider alternatives, consider cost/benefit analysis, recommend process improvement and technical solutions
    • Providing input to and taking active part in system transformation projects; taking responsibility for the implementation and change management of new functionalities
    • Support / lead cross-functional finance projects and drive initiatives on business process re-engineering
    • Validate, prioritise, monitor the finance improvement initiatives and provide regular updates to the management on delivery progress and costings
    • Responsible for "training the trainer" for each specialist area of the Finance team. This will include training new users as well as enhancing the knowledge of existing users for new system implementations and enhancements


Requirements
    • Recognised degree in Accounting or Computer Science or similar qualification. CPA/ ACCA qualifications and project management qualifications will be an advantage
    • 7 to 10 years of proven experience in finance process & systems management, finance transformation and process improvement and project management experience
    • Experience in leading financial project implementations and administering ERP system in a SaaS environment
    • Previous working experience in established ERP system such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite and CRM software such as Salesforce, Zoho will be an advantage
    • Experience in data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Metabase etc)
    • Experienced in the representation of data and information in management reports
    • Consulting or internal systems implementation experience is a plus
    • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities through effective time management, organization, and communication. Project management expertise is essential.
    • Ability to analyze, isolate and define issues; must examine options and act on a plan. Resilience in execution.

    • Stakeholder identification and alignment, appropriate communication and feedback loops, success measures, training, organizational readiness, and long-term sustainability Functional Competency
    • Good understanding of Business Processes (Order to Cash, Plan to Forecast, Source to Pay, Make to Deliver, Order to Cash & Record to Report)
    • Understand financial business application in depth; provide recommendations and implications of changes to the system for informed decision making and risk mitigation.
    • Ensure ERP system is configured to meet business and integration requirements as part of in collaboration with vendor and project team.
    • Able and willing to travel frequently within Southeast Asia
