Amazon Prime Video is shaping the future of digital video entertainment in India. We seek a Finance Manager to be a key business partner for the Video Business team. Over the past decade, Amazon has developed a number of market-leading, innovative, and fast-growing digital and mobile businesses, including: Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Prime Music, Echo, Alexa and Kindle. As a Finance Manager, you will work directly with business leaders to identify commercial opportunities and develop business cases. Job responsibilities include:
• Assessing financial viability of new business models, strategic deals
• Conducting ad-hoc financial analyses and interpreting P&L data to support key business decisions
• Developing scalable and efficient financial processes that support the business
• Maintaining effective controllership on marketing budgets
• Drawing up short-term and long-term financial plans including variance analysis and reporting
• Establishing and maintaining operating / business metrics
• Analyzing key predictors, identifying trends and presenting actionable insights to business leaders
• Producing succinct financial narratives for management review documents
This position requires a successful candidate tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables. The right individual will have exceptional Finance skills, strong understanding of Accounting principles, solid leadership skills, business partnering skills and firm business judgment capable of driving an organization to the right results.
She or he will have to operate independently and successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment, and have the ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize.
The team needs a self-starter, who is able to work autonomously and drive projects within the broader Prime India team and also cross-functionally with other teams including Content Acquisition, Amazon Studios and Business Development. The candidate will need to able to collaborate with business partners in India as well as abroad. You must display strong initiative for anticipating and meeting the business demands of senior-level business managers.
This role will be based in Mumbai, India
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA from a top-school and / or Chartered Accountant with strong academic credentials
• Minimum 10 years of Finance experience in reputed organizations
• Prior experience in Finance business partnering in a high-growth environment
• Working knowledge of advanced Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Work experience in Consumer-facing industries (e.g. FMCG, Retail, Media, Telecom) will be an added advantage
• Exposure to Strategy, Business Insights, Analytics is preferred
• Familiarity with financial reporting software (e.g. Cognos / Oracle)
