Accounting
- Comprehensive bookkeeping
- BAS quarterly preparation
- Quarterly Financial statements for management reporting
- Annual Financial statements
- Payroll
- Budget
Support
- CEO
- Board
- Compliance and risk management
Business Management
- Participate in development of fundraising plan.
- Assist with grant budget preparation and acquittals for all grants.
- Participate in funding campaigns as required.
- Work with our young Alumni volunteers and employees to assist them develop skills and knowledge around business, grant seeking, budgeting etc.
- Work with CEO to ensure current and potential supporters and donors receive timely information and reports.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Recognised Accounting qualifications and at least 5 years' experience.
- Highly competent knowledge and skills with Xero, Excel and Google suite.
- Understanding of online reporting and grant budget preparation and acquittal.
- Demonstrated understanding of the lived experience of growing up and/or working in a rural/regional community.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lead and work in a team environment as well as work independently.
- Commitment to working for a rural community-focused for-purpose organisation.
- Positive, flexible, 'can do' attitude.
Terms and Conditions
- This position is offered initially as a one-year contract 0.8 EFT.
- Flexible work arrangements can be negotiated with substantial attendance in the office.
- Occasional work outside of normal business hours and travel may be required.
- The rate of pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- All employees must obtain a satisfactory Police Record Check and Working with Children Check prior to commencing employment.
