Job Responsibilities:

As a Investment Finance (IF) Analyst, the primary responsibility is to engage stakeholders such as IF Specialist/Transactors, Associate Bankers/Bankers, Risk Managers, Credit Controllers and Technology Business Analyst in the daily course of work.

The candidate is also expected to be proficient in the end-to-end processing of simplified credits by liaising with all the above stake-holders to discuss and subsequently set up credit facilities on CPB platform via:

• Ensuring credit needs of client are captured and recommended accordingly in Credit Approval

• Ensuring documentation, suitability, KYC, credit risk, Citi policy and Regulatory requirements are considered and compiled with in the approval process

• Ensuring credit details are accurately and timely inputted in to various systems and circulated for approval

• Working closely with credit controllers to complete systemic setup

Other responsibilities include:

• Maintenance of Credit Approval due to changes in limits, re-allocation of limits, cancellation of limits and other aspect of credit details changes

• Ensuring continual compliance with Citi Credit Policy/Regulations/Product Programs such as reviewing portfolio collateral concentration, liquidity and limit excess

• Leading, coordinating and participating in Strategic/Adhoc projects, system enhancements, Compliance review, Internal Audit, MCA and the likes.

Development Opportunities of the Role:

• Prepares candidate for progression opportunities such as IF Specialist or Risk Management Officer

• Gains understanding of CPB Credit Policies and Credit Product Programs

• Gains understanding of collateral valuation and monitoring processes

• Gains understanding of documentation requirements for different types of credit facilities

• Builds knowledge of capital market products and derivatives and margin requirements

• Participate in structuring complex credit, together with IF Transactor and Specialist, for CPB Platinum clients.

• Ensure that the business unit adheres to firm policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements

Qualifications and Skills / Competencies:

Qualifications

• A good university degree at a minimum. Knowledge of Finance and Accounting will be an advantage

Technical/Specialist skills/competencies:

• Good understanding of financial statements and accounting standards.

• Understanding of legal systems and documentation

Business/Industry knowledge/competencies

• Understanding of CPB Credit Policies and Credit Product Program

• Understanding collateral valuation

• Familiarity with Bloomberg terminals

• Knowledge of Capital Markets instruments and characteristics

• Risk management skills

Personal Attributes/Interpersonal skills:

• Ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously

• Result oriented individual who is able to work against tight deadlines, and willing to put in long hours when required

• Ability to exercise independent thinking, balanced judgment and participate in constructive debates

• Strong written and oral communication skills
